About	The 3D scanner is suitable for scanning a variety of objects ranging in size, textures, and complexity. It works by rapidly firing lasers at the object which rebound and are captured to create a mesh. Meshes can then be cleaned, adjusted, and measured in VXElements to be used for redesign, prototyping, and design verification.

Materials	Any solid objects. Shiny, multicoloured, or dark objects may have some difficulties being scanned. Dynamic objects will need to be held in place for a successful scan. Clear or shiny objects will need to be sprayed with talcum powder (available at the Garage), painted over, or covered with tape.
